Away from the Shadows

A while ago, during his visit to Poland, I recorded a special song with my Canadian buddy, Alex. He provided drums, we both recorded all guitar. bass, ukulele and whatever other instrument we laid our hands on tracks. Later I wrote some lyrics and recorded vocals. This song is a closure to a quite short, yet somehow important chapter of my life. There is nothing more to be added there, and nor will ever be.

I discovered that evil was not to be feared at all
Dwelling in obscurity and drowning in sin
I abhor the oncoming collapse of worlds
But at the end of the tunnel I’ve seen a dim light
A glimpse of that which I did not dare call ‘hope’

Awarded as a gift and torn away without remorse
